Smiling man

Dental Implants

If you are missing teeth, simple everyday tasks like eating and speaking clearly become difficult and frustrating.

The team at White Pine Dental can restore your smile and improve your quality of life with dental implant treatment.

Let's take a closer look at how dental implants from our Murray, UT, practice can benefit you...

What Are Dental Implants?

Dental implants are prosthetic tooth roots used to support replacement teeth. We provide implants made from titanium or zirconia, which are surgically placed in your jawbone. Once the implant has been placed in the jawbone, an abutment piece is attached to the implant, serving as the connection between the implant and your crown, bridge, or denture. These pieces work together to completely replace a tooth from the roots to the chewing surface.
The implant is placed in the jawbone. An abutment is attached to the implant. A crown is secured to the abutment.
A dental implant, abutment, and restoration work together to replace the entire tooth structure.

The Benefits of Dental Implants

There are several reasons why you should consider dental implants if you need to replace lost teeth:

Better Oral Health

Tooth loss leads to other serious oral health conditions like jawbone atrophy. Tooth roots stimulate the jawbone, signaling to the body to retain bone tissue in the area. Without this stimulation, the jaw will begin to recede. Dental implants are the one and only dentistry solution that can stop this side-effect of tooth loss.

Superior Functionality

Since dental implants are anchored to the jawbone, your prosthetic teeth will never feel loose or slide out of place. Implant-supported crowns, bridges, and dentures restore your ability to enunciate and eat all your favorite foods.

Long-Lasting Results

With proper care, dental implants themselves can last a lifetime. Our implant-supported crowns, bridges, and dentures are also incredibly durable, often lasting a decade or more before needing replacement.

Paying for Dental Implants

Basic dental insurance plans do not cover dental implants. To help make the procedure affordable, our practice offers financing plans that allow you to pay in affordable monthly installments. You can choose from our in-house financing, a third-party lender such as CareCredit®, or your own personal line of credit. We also provide discounts for payment in cash. Feel free to contact our Murray, UT, office if you would like to learn more about our flexible payment options.

What to Expect During Treatment

In many cases, our dentists can perform the entire dental implant procedure in a single appointment at our Murray, UT, office. Here are the steps involved:

Before we begin, we will administer local anesthesia to numb your mouth. Your dentist can also provide sedation if needed to ensure your comfort.

Next, we will make small incisions in the gums and carefully place each implant. Our dentists use custom-made surgical guides to maximize the precision and safety of placing dental implants.

Once the implants are in place, we attach abutments and close the incisions with sutures. Finally, we place a temporary crown, bridge, or denture, giving you a complete and functional set of teeth before you leave our office.

Over the next four to six months, your implants will fuse to your jawbone in a process called osseointegration. Since the contours of your jaw can change during this recovery period, we will wait to design your permanent dental restoration until osseointegration is complete.

White Pine Dental's services are 2nd to none. The staff are awesome and actually care for their patient's comfort and well-being. I won't go anywhere else from now on. Brad Strange
